Al Jazira Chief Executive Officer, Phil Anderton, stressed the importance of the forthcoming match between Al Jazira and Al Ahli at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on Thursday 31 March at 8:30pm. Anderton said in a press conference held at Al Jazira Club that Al Jazira is working on increasing the number of attendance through giving away a number of prizes brought by Al Ain Dairies which are five Toshiba laptops and ten blackberry mobile phones to best fans who are wearing the most outstanding red shirts. He also mentioned the grand prize Ferrari Italia 458 which is worth one million dirham. Five fans in every home match will compete for Barclays Kick for Cash and win AED 50,000 by shooting the ball from midfield into an empty goal. If two lucky winners scored then they share the AED 50,000 prize. The scorers in the rest of Al Jazira home matches will qualify to the grand prize and compete in a game that will be announced before the last Al Jazira home match against rival Dubai on 09 June 2011. "We are displaying the Ferrari Italia in Al Jazira stand in The Marina Mall. More than 10,000 people registered there in the mall to be members of Al Jazira and so that they can come and watch Al Jazira next home match. We also distributed thousands of complimentary tickets brought by Al Jazira partners. The Ferrari will be on the stadium during our match against Al Ahli so that all our fans can see it," the CEO said. Anderton noted that through the Community Engagement Program which was launched by Al Jazira, two schools were invited to attend Al Jazira v Al Ahli match namely: Emirates National School and Al Manhal School. Al Jazira also invited a big number of special needs through Zayed Higher Foundation for Humanitarian Care and Abu Dhabi Special Needs Club. Special places were reserved for them. "We invite all Abu Dhabi community with its diverse nationalities and classes to come to Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium and enjoy a great match day. Now we opened 15 kiosks all around the stadium where fans can buy food and drinks as well as Al Jazira clothes." Anderton concluded the press conference by inviting all the journalists to play Al Jazira former players in a friendly match on Thursday 31 March at 6:00pm, two and half hours before Al Jazira v Al Ahli match. |
