The derby of the capital ends with a 2-2 draw


The match between Al Jazira and rival Al Wahda in the 14th week of the Etisalat Pro-League 2010-11 ended with a 2-2 draw at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
With this draw, Al Jazira raised the score to 36 points keeping its place at the top of the league, whereas Al Wahda raised the score to 19 points.
Al Wahda player Mohammed Al Shihhi scored first in the 49th minute, then Al Jazira Bare scored the equalizer in the 64th minute. Oliveira added another goal for Al Jazira in the 74th minute, then Esmail Matar scored the equalizer in the 75th minute.
Al Jazira starting line-up included Ali Khaseif as the goalkeeper; Abdullah Musa, Khalid Sabeel, Sami Rubaya and Jumaa Abdullah in defense; Hilal Saeed, Yaser Matar, Diaky and Delgado in midfield; and Bare and Oliveira in forward.
The first half of the match started without any attempts by the two teams to check the rival so they started exchanging scoring chances which all went in vain. Yaser Matar from Al Wahda received the first warning in the match in the 23rd minute for tackling Al Shihhi. Four minutes later Haider Alo Saeed from Al Wahda received another warning for his intended tackle for Diaky.
Al Jazira players were not away from yellow cards that Khalid Sabeel received one of these cards in the 37th minute for tackling Yaser Matar.
The first half of the match witnessed a lot of scoring opportunities but no goals whatsoever so that the referee called off the first half of the match for Al Jazira 0, Al Wahda 0.
The second half started with no changes in the starting line-up and it witnessed Al Wahda scoring their first goal in the match in the 49th minute when Al Shihhi shot the ball from outside the penalty area to announce the first goal for Al Wahda.
Al Jazira could not sit watching without doing anything, so they started attacking heavily until Bare was able to score the equalizer in the 46th minute.
Al Wahda coach Heckersburger made his first substitution replacing Haider Alo Ali for Mahmoud Khameis.
Braga made two substitutions at the same time in the 72nd minute replacing the owner of the first goal Bare for Ali Mabkhout and Hilal Saeed for Abdul Salam Jumaa.
All Al Jazira fans stood at their feet in the 74th minute when Olivera scored the second goal for Al Jazira. However, Al Jazira fans did not stay a long time off their seats when Esmail Matar from Al Wahda scored the equalizer the 75th minute.
Abdullah Musa received a yellow card for tackling Al Shihhi in the 75th minute.
Al Wahda coach made a second substitution in the 80th minute replacing Biano with Al Kathiri.
Braga also made a substitution replacing Yaser Matar for Mohammed Marzouk.
The score did not change until the end of the match when the referee announced the score between Al Jazira and Al Wahda 2-2 draw.
